20th Anniversary Celebration!
In celebration of this year’s 20th anniversary scenario, Tournament of the Ages, we are excited to announce uniquely themed weekends, celebrating the historical legends of the medieval era!
Weekend 1: Viking Invasion Weekend - Nov. 2 & 3
Grab your drinking horns and fur-lined frocks, it's time to invade the Woods of Mallaranny! All men be mortal, but merriment can ring eternal among friends.

- Saturday, Nov. 2: Bold Braids Competition - All braids are welcome in this competition! Hair braids, beard braids, and accessories encouraged! NEW
- Sunday, Nov. 3: Viking Costume Contest - Wear your favorite Vikings costume! NEW
Weekend 2: Heroes & Villains Weekend - Nov. 9, 10 & Veterans Day, Monday Nov. 11
Whether you are a Merlin or a Mordred, a Knight in Shining Armor or part of a Plundering Hoard, come dressed as your favorite hero or villain. Be historical or be hysterical. Either way, join in the fun!

- Saturday, Nov. 9: Throwing Things Competition - Step up and join a side! Heroes and Villains alike are needed to face off in this Bag Toss Battle. NEW
- Sunday, Nov. 10: Heros & Villains Costume Contest - Wear your favorite Heros or Villains costume! NEW
- Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11: Concert Chronicle - In the middle ages, all music was live! Tell us the best story you have about a concert or any time you heard music performed in person. You might find inspiration for this story walking around the fair! NEW
Weekend 3: Celtic Weekend - Nov. 16 & 17
'Tis time to don your tartan, and declare your clan and kinship. Come to the Woods of Mallaranny, where the Highlands meet the Lowlands, where the Shenanigans meet the Malarkey and toasts and tall-tales abound!

- Saturday, Nov. 16: Best Bagpipe Imitation - Try to sound like a bagpipe in this noisemaking contest. NEW
- Sunday, Nov. 17: Celtic Costume Contest - Wear your favorite tarten highlands costume! NEW
Weekend 4: Mystical Realms Weekend - Nov. 23 & 24
Are there fairies in your family? Elves in your eves? It's time for fantastical beasts and magical beings to walk amongst us. All garden gnomes and spirited sprites are invited to show themselves in the magical Woods of Mallaranny as the village decor changes to celebrate the holidays!

Weekend 5: Saint Nicholas Celebration Weekend - Nov. 30 & Dec. 1
Bring your childish wonder and your Christmas list so that St. Nicholas knows what to bring in just a few short weeks. Kick off your seasonal celebrations with all the villagers of Mallaranny. It's your last chance to purchase some pretty presents, and to enjoy the festivities and frivolity of the 20th Season of the Sarasota Medieval Fair! Take part in the ancient tradition of Small Business Saturday and see what the vendors of our Artisan Marketplace have on display. Meet Saint Nicholas in the Children’s Realm!
