A Journey Through History

Since 2005, the Sarasota Medieval Fair has been a beloved annual tradition, bringing history, culture, and family entertainment to Southwest Florida. Our dedicated team is proud to live and work within this community, and we are honored by the tremendous support we have received from guests, participants, volunteers, and local organizations throughout the years.

We invite you to join us this November at our beautiful home, the Woods of Mallaranny, and embark on an unforgettable journey into the past. Step through the gates of our medieval village and immerse yourself in a world of knights, nobles, artisans, musicians, and storytellers. We encourage guests of all ages to interact with our cast of characters, ask questions, and experience the sights, sounds, flavors, and traditions of a bygone era.

For many of us, the Sarasota Medieval Fair is far more than a festival—it is a celebration of community. Each year, the festival brings together local artisans, performers, merchants, educators, and volunteers while helping support numerous nonprofit organizations and their missions. It provides a unique opportunity to learn about medieval history through engaging, family-friendly activities while creating lasting friendships and treasured memories.

To everyone who has attended, participated, volunteered, or supported the fair over the years, we offer our sincere gratitude. Your enthusiasm and passion have helped make the Sarasota Medieval Fair one of Southwest Florida's most cherished annual traditions.

Our Journey to the Woods of Mallaranny

For nearly two decades, our team dreamed of finding a permanent home that captured the authentic atmosphere and natural beauty that define the medieval experience. We envisioned a place filled with towering oak trees, open meadows, winding paths, and the sense of wonder that sparks the imagination.

In 2021, that dream became reality.

Today, the Woods of Mallaranny serves as the proud home of the Sarasota Medieval Fair. Spanning 47 acres of breathtaking natural landscape, the site provides the perfect backdrop for our growing village and allows guests to fully immerse themselves in the magic and grandeur of the festival.

Join us as we continue our grand adventure at the Woods of Mallaranny and celebrate the history, wonder, friendships, and merriment that make the Sarasota Medieval Fair so special.
