Step into the world of kings, knights, and legends as you enjoy a guided tasting of one of history’s most celebrated beverages. Gather in our Special Events tent and sample a selection of handcrafted meads ranging from traditional honey meads to unique flavored varieties while learning about the rich history and traditions behind this ancient drink. Whether you're a longtime mead enthusiast or trying it for the first time, this special event offers a fun and flavorful journey through the tastes of the medieval world.
Includes: A curated flight of mead samples, an entertaining and educational tasting experience, and the opportunity to discover your new favorite mead. As a special keepsake, every participant will also receive a commemorative 2026 Festival Pin.
Cost: $53.40 per person ($45 plus applicable taxes and fees)
Important: Mead Tasting tickets do not include admission to the Sarasota Medieval Fair. Guests must purchase both a festival admission ticket and a Mead Tasting ticket to participate. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Participants must be 21 years of age or older and present a valid Driver's License or State-issued Photo ID at check-in. Children are not permitted at the Mead Tasting. Please drink responsibly.
One seating per festival day on select days, starting at 2:30pm in the Special Events Tent. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Advance reservations are required. Seating is limited.
