The Sarasota Medieval Fair is excited to announce new free contests this year!  Win prizes & free tickets!  Participation is FREE.  Contests are held daily in our Special Event tent!

2026 Festival Contests:

    • Saturday, Nov. 7:  TBA
    • Sunday, Nov. 8:  TBA
    • Saturday, Nov. 14:  Bold Braids Competition - All braids are welcome in this competition! Hair braids, beard braids, and accessories encouraged!
    • Sunday, Nov. 15:  Viking Costume Contest - Wear your favorite Vikings costume!
    • Saturday, Nov. 21:  Best Bagpipe Imitation - Try to sound like a bagpipe in this noisemaking contest.
    • Sunday, Nov. 22: Scottish Costume Contest - Wear your favorite tarten highlands costume!
    • Saturday, Nov. 28: Best Magic Trick - Perform your most favorite magic trick.
    • Sunday, Nov. 29: Mystical Costume Contest - Wear your favorite fantasy costume from the stories & legends of the medieval era!
    • Saturday, Dec. 5:  Tales of Tradition Storytelling Competition - Tell us a story about a holiday tradition (all holidays welcome!).
    • Sunday, Dec. 6:  Holiday Costume Contest - Wear your favorite holiday costume from the stories & legends of the medieval era!
